Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric said deeply worrying scenes could be seen in the assembly of the provisional Pristina institutions when representatives of the Serb List were not allowed to enter a session, and called on the international community to react and "ensure the protection of democratic processes and minority rights."

"Shocking and deeply worrying scenes took place today in the Pristina parliament, where members of the party of Albin Kurti, with the support of the speaker of the parliament, resorted to insults and to direct expulsion of all Serb representatives. This calculated move aims to block their participation in the session and take away the mandates by force. Such actions undermine the principles of democratic governance and the rule of law, causing serious concern about the treatment of the Serb people and other non-Albanian groups in Kosovo*," Djuric posted on X.

According to him, this incident sends a very worrying message ahead of the February 9 election, calling into question the commitment to fair and inclusive political processes.

"We call on the international community to quickly deal with this development and ensure the protection of democratic processes and the rights of minorities. Constructive dialogue and mutual respect remain essential for building a stable and inclusive society in Kosovo*," added Djuric and attached a video from the assembly in Pristina to his post.

Members of the Serb List were prevented from entering the assembly session of the provisional Pristina institutions when Self-Determination deputies physically stopped them from doing so.

After the Serb List deputies arrived at the session, the president of the assembly of provisional institutions of Pristina, Glauk Konjufca, stopped it and told them to leave.
