KFOR says it increased security measures to protect critical infrastructure
KFOR has announced that, after an attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal near Zubin Potok, that mission increased security measures to protect critical infrastructure.
A statement added that the East Regional Command remains ready to provide security, logistical and engineering support to all communities living in the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija.
"KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and secure freedom of movement, at all times and impartially," the statement said.
On November 29, an explosion occurred in the village of Varage near Zubin Potok, which damaged the Ibar-Lepenac canal.
