Ana Brnabic on Friday addressed the public from the Serbian National Assembly.

"We had to start the conference later, because some media representatives could not arrive due to the illegal blockades in the city. I want to condemn the violence of a very small number of citizens against all others," she said and showed a photo from in front of the Assembly:

"Here you see 60 people, 10 of whom are members of the Assembly, blocking one of the biggest roads in Belgrade and thereby blocking thousands of people in this city," Brnabic stressed.

The entire operation, she added, speaking of about the blockades organized throughout Serbia, involves less than 5,000 people.

"Among those hundreds of thousands whose movement is prevented, there are also those who voted for them, and did not expect that the deputies (Assemby members) would come out to block them. Less than 5,000 people participated in the entire action in central Serbia. Less than 5,000 people are creating chaos, and harassing over six million people! Then they say that those who want to pass through are the thugs, meanwhile those who are blocking everything are not thugs but peacemakers," said the president of the Assembly.

"This type of scenario will not pass in Serbia, and I want to condemn calls for a Romanian scenario in Serbia," she said.

Ana Brnabic informed all interested citizens of Serbia and other groups that last night an analysis of a draft law on the unified voter list was received from the ODIHR.

"Now we have ODIHR's opinion on both laws, in order to form a commission to review the voter list, and I expect the next session of the working group to be held as soon as possible. I expect that other parliamentary groups, especially those of Djilas and Ponos, will participate in the working group, given that they promised that to their voters.

Secondly, since they denied themselves at least ten days of discussion on the most important law for citizens, the law on the budget, I think they themselves regretted it.

We have serious work to do until the end of 2026 in the Assembly. By the end of 2026, we need to complete everything that is up to us, and meet all the conditions for Serbia's membership in the EU. The biggest burden will be on the Assembly," she said.

Brnabic called on all parties, especially the pro-EU ones, to sit down and work on that together.
