Blizzard on Mt. Zlatibor: 14 trucks and 4 graders deployed on roads

During the night and early morning hours, the area of the Zlatibor district was covered by new snowfall. Another 10 to 20 centimeters of snow fell.

Road crews were immediately dispatched to the field.

"The snow is wet and slippery. There are 14 trucks and four graders on the ground. A traffic ban has been introduced for trucks with trailers on the roads via the mountains Tara and Debelo Brdo, Borova Glava, Zlatibor, Zlatar. About 20 centimeters of new snow fell on Borova Glava," Alen Musanovic from Putevi Uzice told RINA.

He appeals to all drivers not to go on the road without adequate winter equipment.

It is mandatory for drivers to adapt their driving to the road conditions, not to try to overtake vehicles clearing the snow and be patient, Musanovic pointed out.

Since this morning, snow has also been falling on the higher parts in the Ivanjica municipality, and road maintenance services there are also on alert.
