Brnabic: Vucic demonstrated how he fights for Serbia's interests during BBC interview
President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic said today that President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, in an interview he gave to the BBC, demonstrated Serbia's position, how he fights for Serbia's interests and for a stable Serbia, which is not afraid of anyone and which works in the interest of citizens.
Brnabic told TV Happy that "Hardtalk" is the most important show in the world and certainly the most difficult interview.
"So, the questions are not pleasant, none of them are easy, they are very provocative, they are not friendly. I am asking all the citizens of our country and all your viewers to watch that interview, and above all the members of the Serbian Progressive Party, to which I myself belong, and our coalition partners and other politicians, to watch how he fights for the interests of the Republic of Serbia," said Brnabic.
She added that Vucic answered all questions honestly and openly, without any political platitudes and without hiding behind political phrases.
"He clearly and openly explained Serbia's position, answered why we have friends both in the East and in the wžWest, why we sit on the Serbian chair, what our priorities are. In 26 minutes, he defended the position of the Republic of Serbia and explained it to everyone in the world," pointed out Brnabic.
Aleksandar Vucic gave an interview to the BBC during which he said that he is very proud of the fact that he is sitting only on the Serbian chair, that Serbia leads an independent policy, and that its strategic goal is to become a full member of the EU.
