Serbian Council for National Security meets: We must be ready for all kinds of developments, prepare reserves
The session of the Council for National Security Council has just concluded in Belgrade.
"The security situation in Serbia is stable. The situation in the world is burdened with conflicts," Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic said at the beginning of his address after the meeting, and added:
"This means that we have to be ready for all kinds of developments, prepare reserves, be ready."
We must be prepared for a negative situation when it comes to geopolitical challenges, he said.
"On behalf of the MUP (Interior Ministry), I want to say that our law and our Constitution allow peaceful gatherings. But any violation of public order and peace, endangering the security of the country, and especially attacking the police, which will be characterized as an attack on an on-duty official, will not be tolerated," he pointed out.
The country will be stronger than all the challenges, was Dacic's message.
"The foreign policy situation is complicated and does not depend on Serbia, but on big powers. I will repeat, the security situation in Serbia is stable. We will look for the best possible place and path for Serbia in the conditions of major conflicts in the world, while at the same time protecting our interests," stated Dacic.
