As we reported, Alexei Zimin (52), the owner of the well known restaurant Zima in London's Soho, was found dead in a rented apartment in Belgrade.

The body was found by the owner of the apartment, lying on the floor with a wound on his head.

Telegraf learned on Wednesday that the death was caused by natural causes.

Specifically, Zimin injured his head by falling in the apartment.

Zimin left behind his wife and a 17-year-old daughter.

Zimin was openly opposed to the war between Russia and Ukraine, and had not returned to Russia since he was expelled for criticizing President Putin and the invasion of Crimea.

According to unofficial information, the owner of the apartment could not reach him for 7 days, so he went to see what was happening and found a gruesome scene on the floor.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade was informed about the case.

An autopsy and a toxicology report have been ordered.
