Pristina: Indictment against two people suspected of alleged war crimes

The Special Prosecutor's Office in Pristina filed an indictment against S.S. and M.S. before the Basic Court today, on the suspicion that in the period 1998-1999 they committed a war crime against the civilian population.

According to the indictment, there is allegedly well-founded suspicion that they committed the criminal acts of murder, physical and psychological abuse, and theft of movable property of the civilian population.

It is added that this criminal offense is sanctioned by Article 142 in connection with Article 22 of the Criminal Code of the SFRY (former Yugoslavia), the law that was in force at the time.

The statement did not specify where the acts the indictment charges the suspects were allegedly committed.
