President Vucic speaks with President Putin
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke on Sunday with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
After the conversation, Vucic posted on Instagram.
"I just finished the conversation with the president of the Russian Federation. We haven't talked for almost two and a half years and we had a good, open, long and meaningful conversation," said Vucic.
He said that they also spoke about the marking of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade.
"Of course, we talked about what was the occasion, which is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade. I thanked Putin for the congratulations," said the president.
Vucic said that they exchanged opinions on all important bilateral issues.
"I especially thanked Putin for making sure Russia will provide sufficient quantities of gas for the Republic of Serbia this winter," added the president.
"We both expressed hope that the talks and what was left to be negotiated and fulfilled will be resolved through compromises in the coming period," said Vucic and added that they talked about important political issues.
Vucic said that he will reveal more details this evening when he appears on RTS.
The president said that he reiterated that Serbia will not impose sanctions against the Russian Federation.
