Terrible explosion in Sloboda factory in Cacak: There are casualties

During the morning hours, an accident occurred in the Sloboda factory in Cacak, which is a part of Serbia's defense industry complex.

According to initial information from the scene, the explosion occurred in the pyrotechnics department.

"Four people were injured in this blast, and the other workers were allowed to go home. Police and ambulance teams are at the scene," a source familiar with the situation on the ground told RINA unofficially.

Explosions in Sloboda happened on several occasions in 2021, leaving residents in surrounding houses afraid.

A loud detonation was heard this morning, that woke them up. "If it would only end with that," one frightened local woman said.

According to what's still unofficial information, one young man suffered serious injuries to his arm this morning.
