Final results of population census in Montenegro, it is known exactly how many Serbs live there

In Montenegro, 256,463 citizens have declared themselves as Montenegrins, while there are 205,370 Serbs in that country.

This is according to official results of Montenegro's census. Serbian is spoken by 43.18 percent of the population, Montenegrin by 34.52 percent, RTCG is reporting.

There are 50.8 percent women and 49.2 percent men in that country, the results of the census showed. The average age is 39.7. Women are on average 38 years old, and men 36.

More than 93 percent of people who live there have the citizenship of Montenegro.

A total of 667,650 persons have been included in the population census.

Monstat presented a part of the final results of the census which was conducted at the end of last year.

From October 1 to 7, citizens had the right and opportunity to check their data on ethnic-cultural characteristics collected through the census of the population, households and apartments, using special software.

According to the preliminary results of the census, Montenegro has 633,158 inhabitants, which is 2 percent more than in 2011.
