Vucevic: It's good Pristina lowered tension, what's most important is that Serbs in Kosovo have supplies
Prime Minister Milos Vucevic stressed that he supports every decision and everything that is part of making life easier and improving living conditions for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
He made the comment after the ban on Serbian goods, imposed by Pristina, was lifted at the Merdare administrative point.
"I welcome everything that contributes to the better life of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. I'm not going to bother with the legal aspects at all, I'm only interested in the essence - can the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija today get medicines, food, everything that was blocked months ago thanks to Albin Kurti's irresponsible policy," said Vucevic.
He added that it was a good effort by the German side, which stressed a new phase of the CEFTA agreement, and that Serbia is always ready for agreements. According to the prime minister, Serbia does not consider compromises to be a bad thing, especially if it will improve the lives of Serbian citizens in Kosovo and Metohija.
"The good thing is that if these things are resolved, I would like it not only to apply to Merdare but to all (administrative) crossings. I expect that this will be the topic on October 14 in Berlin at the meeting of prime ministers with Chancellor Scholz. It's good that Pristina has lowered the tension, and the most important thing is that the citizens of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija can have an orderly supply of food and mediciness," concluded Vucevic.
