Brnabic: Vucic showed how to defend integrity and sovereignty of a country
President of the Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic said last night that President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, during his general debate speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, showed the whole world how to defend the integrity and sovereignty of a country, as well as how to "bravely defend the truth and justice, multilateralism, the UN, international law and equality between countries and peoples, how to defend peace and how to fight for peace."
She quoted Vucic saying that Serbia is not a servant of either Russia or the US, that it has its own interests, and that the only hope for it is for "the mechanisms of lies and fraud in international relations to be understood" and assessed that those words "will echo in the UN corridors for a long time."
"And that's why I don't want to ask you now, but to say that the only hope, not only for my country, which I love the most in the world, but also for your countries, is that you understand well the mechanisms of lies, the mechanisms of fraud in international relations and that let's try to gather here, in the most important organization, to try to change it, to try to respect it," Brnabic said on X.
She added that this is the only way "we will be able to preserve peace."
"For a long time, these words of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will echo in the corridors of the UN and will be retold for a long time in freedom-loving countries, of which there are more and more," Brnabic said.
Vucic said earlier during the general debate at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, that despite the current difficulties in the world, Serbia stands up in defense of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, through its activities and principled policy.
