A Serb man, Dejan Radic, was beaten and robbed in his home Staro Gracko, in the municipality of Lipljan in Kosovo and Metohija, around midnight last night, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija has announced.

It is stated that three Albanian-speaking attackers first tied Radic up, then beat him with a stick and finally robbed him.

The victim received help from his neighbors, Serbs who called the police, because Dejan lives alon since his mother recently passed away.

In a statement, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija points out that this brutal attack is a consequence of the anti-Serb policy and institutional violence carried out by Pristina and the prime minister of Pristina's provisional institutions, Albin Kurti, and of numerous examples of police brutality, which send the message that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are legitimate targets for Albanians and that no one will be held responsible.

"Attacks on Serbs have become an everyday occurrence in Kosovo and Metohija, because each instance of hatred breeds and inspires more hatred, and Serbs in this suffering village have no peace even after two and a half decades, but are once again being targeted by Albanians," stressed the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

The statement indicates that this attack caused great concern and anxiety among the remaining Serbs living in Staro Gracko, because those whose duty it is to protect them are looking the other way, so as not to see their own disgrace.

"Will an international representative in Pristina react to Dejan's ordeal and visit him, or does he not exist as far as they are concerned? Will human rights activists raise their voices because of the brutally beaten Serb in Kosovo and Metohija and demand from Pristina and Kurti to stop implementing and advocating policies that inspire violence and terror against Serbs?,"asked the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
