Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic said that today that after a five-year break, Air Serbia has reestablished direct flights between Belgrade and Nice.

The Serbian national carrier flies to that city in the south-east of France twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, and the flight lasts about two hours, said Vesic.

He stressed that this means that passengers can enjoy a good connection from Nice, via Belgrade, to this region, but also to the rest of Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

Also, the minister stated that he is proud of the results of Air Serbia, which during the summer season, in regular and charter traffic, flew to a total of 88 destinations - of which 77 as regular, and 11 as charter.

Vesic said that as of August 31 of this year, Air Serbia had transported slightly more than 3,000,000 passengers, which is eight percent more compared to the same period last year.

The minister stressed that Air Serbia is breaking records when it comes to the number of passengers, but also continues to expand its network of destinations, which, he added, confirms that it is turning into the best airline in this part of Europe.
