Vucic: Cooperation and friendship between China and Serbia continue to strengthen

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says tthat cooperation and friendship between Serbia and China continue to strengthen, opening up new horizons for joint progress.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, he congratulated the Chinese people, as stated in a post on Instagram, "on the achievements that shaped the powerful and influential state that China is today."

Last night, Vucic attended the celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China at the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade.

The celebration was organized to mark October 1, 1949, when Mao Zedong read, from Tiananmen Square, the proclamation establishing the People's Republic of China, which, according to Chinese President Xi Jinping, ended the 100-year period of humiliation of the Chinese people and laid the foundation of the powerful country China now is.
