Serbian Deputy PM Dacic visits Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has visited the Huawei Technologies headquarters in Shenzhen, where he met with the head of this company's cooperation with the public sector and governments, Zhang Yong.

At the beginning of the conversation, Minister Dacic praised the high level of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and Huawei, highlighting the important projects that have been completed so far, such as video surveillance of traffic.

Bearing in mind that the basis of the cooperation between Serbia and China are friendly relations, based on strategic documents signed by the two presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping, Dacic said that he expects all projects so far to contribute to the more successful and efficient work of members of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia.

The interlocutors discussed the direction of further cooperation, as well as the possibilities of its improvement in the field of personnel education, study visits, exchange of information and training, with the possible opening of a research center in Serbia.

Dacic expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the most important projects, such as the expansion of the eLTE network in the Serbia, and Project 112, which represents a system of connected operational centers for quick and efficient connection of emergency services, and added that he supports all the efforts to further develop new technologies that will facilitate and improve the work of the police.

Zhang thanked Dacic for the continuous support to Huawei, which has been ongoing for 15 years, since it started doing business in Serbia.

After the meeting, Dacic was shown the latest achievements, primarily in the field of information and communication technologies, but also Huawei's latest investment in the auto industry, where together with the company Aito they developed an autonomous vehicle.
