Dacic attends final phase of exercise by Serbian and Chinese police forces
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic has attended the final phase of an exercise by the special units of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior (MUP) and the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.
Dacic was there together with Tian Yonghao, Deputy Director of the Chinese Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, and Liu Guozhou, Deputy Governor of Guangdong Province and the director of the province's Public Security Bureau.
13 Serbian and 47 Chinese police officers participated in the exercise, and demonstrated sniper skills, the use of service dogs (for searching vehicles, objects in a vehicle, and locating criminals, as well as confronting them).
They also demonstrated the actions of units for breaking up demonstrations in the event of disturbance of public order and peace. After that, the exercise moved to a hostage-taking scenario in a hijacked bus, followed by the final part - entering a structure using a helicopter for quick landing on the roof, as well as entering into a building using a robot dog and a drone armed with a weapon.
After the exercise, Minister Dacic viewed a display of tactical and technical collection of police equipment and had the opportunity to learn about the top-of-the-line tools that the Chinese police use.
Dacic also visited the Serbian police officers who, together with their Chinese colleagues, participate in joint police patrols in Guangzhou.
Six Serbian officers are in these patrols, that will be taking place for a month, also in other Chinese provinces such as Hainan and Zhejiang.
The goal of the joint patrols is to provide support to the police of the Ministry of Public Security communicating with Serbian citizens in the People's Republic of China, in order to provide assistance to Serbian tourists and create a safe tourist environment.
