Brnabic meets with Chinese Communist Party official Lin: New cooperation possibilities for Serbia and China

President of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabic met today in Belgrade with Lin Wu, Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of Shandong and a delegation from that province.

During the conversation, Brnabic pointed out that Serbia is very interested in the exchange of experiences in the fields of development of science and technology parks and infrastructural support for innovative activities, especially since Shandong is known as China's educational center.

Lin Wu said that great development can be observed in Serbia, which he believes will be even greater in the future. and that it opens up new fields of cooperation between the two countries, as well as that many companies from Shandong have already successfully worked on important infrastructural projects in our country, the Assembly said in a statement.

Brnabic especially thanked the interlocutor for China's principled position regarding the territorial integrity of Serbia, i.e., Beijing's decision not to recognize Kosovo.

Brnabic said she was satisfied that in her previous role (as PM) she worked to establish stronger ties between Serbia and China. adding that she is especially glad that she is now continuing this at the parliamentary level.

Brnabic also stated that the parliamentary friendship group with China is special because it is the one with the most members and activities, and that the fact that it is chaired by the vice-president of the parliament and the president of the Foreign Affairs Committee stresses the importance of the relationship between the two countries.

The Assembly president added that cooperation between Serbia and China is also strengthening in the field of education, science, research and development and that we are interested in exchanging experiences with China in the fields of development of science and technology parks and infrastructural support for innovative activities.
