Petkovic comments on Ibar bridge status negotiations: Such violation of principles has gone too far

What has changed in Lajcak's position about the bridge since August, wonders the head of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic.

The EU said that the opening of the bridge could only be resolved through the dialogue, which is shown in Lajcak's tweet, Petkovic said in a series of posts on X.

"Today we hear from him that this issue depends only on agreement between Pristina and the international community," he continued.

"Lajcak is relocating the bridge agreement from the dialogue, and only until yesterday he was announcing that issue as the main topic of the Brussels discussions," one of the posts reads.

"Serbs - vitally interested in the status of the Ibar bridge and Belgrade as a party to negotiations are unilaterally excluded, and Pristina & Quint (US, Italy, Germany, France, UK) are included to discuss the bridge. Such violation of principles has gone too far. And then you ask why there is no progress in the dialogue," Petkovic concluded.
