Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin stressed today during the conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, that Serbia led by President Aleksandar Vucic will not become a member of NATO, that it will not impose sanctions against Russia, and that Serbia led by Vucic will not be a territory from which anti-Russian actions are carried out.

Aleksandar Vulin expressed great gratitude to Vladimir Putin for the firm position of the Russian Federation regarding the respect of Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. i.e., Moscow's decision not to recognize the fake state of Kosovo.

Vulin pointed out that he is proud of his country, Serbia, which is the only one in Europe that did not impose sanctions against Russia and has not became part of the anti-Russian hysteria.

Vulin especially thanked Putin for the principled stance of Russia, which this year voted against a resolution on Srebrenica at the United Nations General Assembly, just as in 2015, at the personal request of President Vucic, President Putin prevented the adoption of a British resolution on the same subject at the UN Security Council. The resolution sought to declare Serbs a genocidal nation.

Vulin stressed during the talks that Serbia and Russia are not only connected by the past, but also by a common future.

"It is a great honor for me to have the privilege to speak with you, and believe me, it is a great encouragement for all Serbs. When Russia cares about Serbia, when it cares about how Serbia lives and what Serbia does, then things are easier for Serbs. Had Russia not survived all these centuries, there would be no Serbia either. We are the nations connected not only by a common past, but also the future," said Vulin, who conveyed greetings from Aleksandar Vucic to the Russian president.

"I use this opportunity to convey to you the personal, cordial, brotherly greetings of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and his wish that you continue to be healthy and wise for a long time and lead your country to benefit of the people of Russia," Vulin said.

Vulin and Putin, who met in Vladivostok, in Russia's Far East, concluded that bilateral cooperation between the two countries is at a high level, and that the improvement and strengthening of the Serbian-Russian comprehensive strategic friendship continues for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
