"Day of mourning to be declared in Novi Sad": Mayor Djuric visits site of fire that killed family of 6

Mayor of Novi Sad Milan Djuric and member of the City Council for Social and Child Protection Danijela Kostic visited the Fire Brigade in that city, whose members participated in extinguishing a fire that killed four children and their parents, as well as the scene of the accident itself.

Djuric announced that a day of mourning will be declared in Novi Sad because of the tragedy that happened. He also mentioned that help will be provided to members of the victims' families.

The fire broke out during the night and killed a whole family - parents and four children aged 2 to 7.

It is assumed that they are members of the family that lived at that address, D.A. (29), M.S. (23), E.A. (7), S.S. (5), D.A. (4) and L.A. (2).

The emergency services quickly responded to a neighbor's call, but the family could not be rescued.

It is suspected that the fire was caused by a scooter that was connected to a charger.
