Drina is full of bodies: Disturbing photos of migrants who drowned last night crossing the river to BiH

The body of a fifth victim who died in the capsizing of a boat last night has been pulled from the Drina near Bratunac, on the river's left bank.

According to unofficial information, there were about 30 migrants in the boat when it capsized.

Director of the Civil Protection Administration Boris Trninic said that the fifth body was found several kilometers downstream from the first four that have been retrieved.

He explained that the water level was higher during the accident and the river carried the bodies away from the site.

"The water is lower now, so the search is much easier," Trninic said.

The four bodies previously pulled from the river were taken over by the Serbian police.

It is assumed that boats with migrants left from Drlace, on the Serbian side of the river, and that the goal was to transport them across the Drina to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
