It's revealed why Emmanuel Macron is coming to Serbia
French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a two-day official visit to Serbia on August 29-30, with the aim of further deepening bilateral relations and cooperation in the fields of economy, healthcare, energy and culture, the Presidency of Serbia told Tanjug.
Macron and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will also discuss issues related to artificial intelligence (AI), since Serbia will take over the presidency of the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence, and France is hosting the AI Summit in Paris in July 2025.
Also, Macron will use the visit to reaffirm France's support for Serbia's EU path.
Macron was invited by Aleksandar Vucic, and as Tanjug was told, dialogue and cooperation between France and Serbia continued to strengthen, which was once again demonstrated by Vucic's visit to France in April 2024.
