RHMZ: From Monday, storms and slight cooling, but... Hellish heatwave in Serbia finally letting up!
RHMZ has finally revealed when the heatwave will begin to let up! After several days of unbearable heat, Serbia is finally expecting a little cooling, but hot weather will, unfortunately, continue.
"Until the end of the week, it will be very warm with the maximum temperature today and tomorrow from 37 to 41° Celsius, and on Sunday from 33 to 38°C. It will be mostly sunny in most places, with local cloudiness, short-term showers with thunder, which will be more common on the second day of the weekend," the state meteorological institute said.
According to the forecast, from the beginning of next week the weather will be more unstable with alternating sunny and cloudy intervals and showers and thunderstorms.
"Those will be locally more pronounced (more than 20mm of rain per square meter will fall in a short time) with hail and increased wind. There will be a small drop in maximum temperatures, but it will be humid and still warm - from 29°C in the north and west to 36°C in the south and east," they said.
RHMZ warned that it will be very warm in Serbia until the end of the week.
Today and tomorrow, maximum temperatures will range from 37 to 41 degrees, on Sunday from 33 to 38, and from the beginning of next week from 29 to 36 degrees Celsius.
Red weather alert is in effect throughout the country today, which indicates very dangerous weather.
It will be very hot in Belgrade until the end of the week with maximum temperatures of 37 to 39 degrees, and never below 20 degrees during the night.
At the beginning of next week, these values will drop slightly and range from 31 to 34 degrees, according to RHMZ.
