Air Serbia introduces new line: Serbian carrier launching flights to one more French city
Air Serbia plans to launch a new route between its hub at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade and Nice, France. The airline used to fly to this French city, but the service was suspended after the outbreak of the global pandemic.
Air Serbia's network of routes should soon become richer for another destination. The Serbian national carrier announced that next month it will establish a direct route between Belgrade and Nice.
The first flight to the city on the Cote d'Azur is scheduled for September 19, and Air Serbia will fly there twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday. Air Serbia announced that flights to Nice will take about two hours and that tickets are currently on sale.
Nice will thus become Air Serbia's third destination in France after Paris and Lyon.
In addition to Air Serbia, Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air also operates from Belgrade to Nice three times a week during the summer season.
Air Serbia launched flights to the fifth largest French city for the first time in 2019. The seasonal line was canceled the following year due to the pandemic, and the carrier intended to relaunch it in 2022.
When Wizz Air then established the route, so Serbian carrier abandoned its plans regarding Nice at the time.
