Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, on the last day of his official visit to Moscow, met with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

Vulin and Manturov discussed bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Russia and noted that relations between the two countries, despite numerous challenges, are at a high level.

Vulin and Manturov summarized the results of the talks between the Serbian deputy prime minister and Russian ministers during his four-day official visit to Moscow, and agreed that, despite good cooperation, there is room for improvement in areas of mutual interest for Serbia and Russia.

One of the topics of the meeting was economic cooperation between the two countries. The Serbian deputy PM pointed out that economic relations with Russia are extremely important for Serbia, especially in the field of energy.

He noted that Russian investments in Serbia are welcome and that there are favorable conditions for mutual investments and better use of potentials in various economic and infrastructure projects.

Vulin added that Serbia is a friend of Russia and that, despite pressure, it has not imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation.

He thanked Manturov for Russia's active support on the issue of Serbia's territorial integrity and for the help in the fight against the adoption of a resolution on Srebrenica at the United Nations General Assembly.
