31° Celsius was measured already by 9 am this morning in three towns in Serbia, while it was 30 degrees in another 6.

In recent days, a heatwave has been ravaging Serbia, today  red weather alert is in force throughout the country precisely because of the extreme heat, while some areas have yellow alert issued for rain and thunderstorms.

This kind of weather in Serbia will last until August 18, RHMZ announced. Today once again, the daily highs will reach 41°C.

This morning before 9 am, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, and Batanski Karlovac reported 31°C, while it was 30° in Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, Smederevska Palanka, Veliko Gradiste, Cuprija, and Nis.

RHMZ also warned about the unfavorable hydrological situation in the country. In some municipalities, an emergency situation has already been declared due to drought.
