Two helicopters were expected to be deployed again this morning

The fire in Bileca has been brought under control after helicopters joined in, Milan Sulovic, commander of the Bileca fire department, told Srna this morning.

He stressed that there is still a part of the wildfire that had spread to the area of the village of Simijova, and two helicopters, one from Serbia and one from the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina), were expected to be deployed again this morning to put it out.

A pool of water needed for the operation was ready.

Sulovic added that firefighters, the army and members of Civil Protection participated in extinguishing the fire in the area of the Bileca villages.
