While much of Serbia is "burning" - there will be showers and thunder in these areas: Here is when it starts
The heatwave will continue until the end of the week
The heatwave continues in Serbia. After yesterday's 42 degrees Celsius, Serbia is facing another hot day, with temperatures that will again exceed 40 degrees.
However, unexpected showers with thunder affected parts of Macva and the wider area of Belgrade this morning, but did not result in any cooling.
Yesterday, Serbia was among the warmest regions in Europe, and this continues today.
In the Kosava area, moderate wind has started to blow, and this southeasterly wind will be hot, so it will add to the heat there on Thursday night, with minimum temperatures of 25 to 30°C.
The highs today will range from 37 to 41°C, in Belgrade up to 39°C.
In the afternoon in the western and southwestern regions of Serbia, a stronger development of cloudiness is expected, with local showers and thunderstorms. In some places, there may be thunder and hailstorms, lightning and heavy downpours.
Part of these thunderstorm systems with showers could affect and spread to the central regions of Serbia. However, precipitation and storms will be local.
During the evening, there is low likelihood of showers and thunder in some places in Vojvodina, mainly in the north of the province.
The same will be true on Thursday in the south of Serbia, during the morning also in Vojvodina.
However, the heatwave continues until the end of the week, although the temperature will gradually start to drop from Friday.
Very high temperatures will be accompanied by very high UV radiation values.
You should also be careful because of the risk of sunstroke and heatstroke, which is why it is necessary to regularly follow the advice issued by state and other competent services.
