The minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures with the Diaspora, Djordje Milicevic, recalled that today marks the 29th anniversary of one of the most terrible crimes committed by the Croatian army against Serb civilians - children, women and the elderly, a crime no one has been held responsible for.

"On August 7, 1995, at 12 noon, a MiG-21 warplane of the Croatian air force took off from the Split airport, the last day of 'Operation Storm'. It flew over a refugee convoy consisting of Serb civilians (fleeing their homes in Croatia) who were moving from the direction of Donji Lapac towards Bosanski Petrovac. The pilots of the Croatian air force could clearly see that these was civilians, not combatants. However, that plane fired several missiles at the convoy, that killed four children, one young woman, and four elderly people.

Over 50 civilians, mostly children, were seriously wounded. Many remained disabled for life. A pregnant woman who saw her entire family get killed, died herself of shock," Minister Milicevic said, reminding of the horrific massacre committed by the pilots of the Croatian army against Serb civilians, in the territory of another country - Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He made a note of the fact that nobody has been brought to justice because of this crime, to this very day.

"Instead of punishing criminals, Croatian officials still glorify and celebrate them, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic threatened Serbia with blocking its EU integration just because our prosecutor's office filed an indictment against these criminals who brutally killed Serb children. Justice is slow, but it is also attainable. I am sure that the monsters who committed the crime on the Petrovac Road (Petrovacka Cesta), as well as those who gave the order, will pay the price they deserve. We will not forgive them for the children," Minister Milicevic said.
