"Africa in Serbia": This part of August will bring temperatures of up to 42°C
Serbia will experience true summer weather in the coming period, and a new intense heatwave is also expected.
Serbia will be affected by an anticyclone and high air pressure for the next ten days, with sunny weather.
Hot air mass will arrive, influenced by a thermal ridge from northern Africa.
The highs in the following days will be above 30°C, and as soon as during the weekend, over 35°C.
Next week will be the hottest.
According to current forecasts, around August 15, maximum temperatures in Serbia and Belgrade will reach 40°C, and locally in parts of central and southeastern Serbia up to 41-42°C.
"Tropical" nights are also expected, with minimum temperatures above 20°C, while in Belgrade, the temperature during the night will not drop below 25°C.
In July, an intense and long-lasting heatwave brought Serbia five consecutive days with daily highs above 40°C, reaching 42°C in places.
This new spell of hot weather in Serbia will last at least until August 17-18.
No precipitation is expected for the next ten days as it will be very dry.
