Eurosport made a massive blunder on Sunday afternoon, when they put the Croatian flag next to the name of Novak Djokovic after the final of the Olympic tennis tournament!

A day later, this outlet issued a statement apologizing for what they posted on social networks.

"We deeply regret the mistake that was made when choosing a flag emoticon to post on a social network and sincerely apologize. Once again, we congratulate Novak on a truly historic moment for him and his country," said Eurosport.

Serbia's Djokovic on Sunday defeated Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, 7-6, 7-6, and in this way won the second Olympic gold for his country at the Paris games so far.

At the same time, he won the only major trophy he was missing in his career, thus completing the Golden Slam.
