Serbia secures first medal at Olympic Games in Paris!
Serbian shooters Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec managed to win the first medal at the Olympic Games in Paris in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team competition, after reaching one of the top two places in the qualifications!
By the very fact that they did so well in the qualifiers, they certainly have silver in their pocket, and will now fight for the gold.
What a roller coaster happened here. Damir Mikec and Zorana Arunovic had a bad start, Mikec didn't really excel, but then he improved.
Zorana lined up tens from the beginning, and then Mikec had a great start.
They slowly climbed to first place, and then fell to second. They moved between second and third positions, alternating with a team from India, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, but Mikec remained focused and secured the second place for Serbia.
With that, they also secured the silver medal, and they will fight for the gold against Yusuf Dikec and Sevval Tarhan.
