Serbian Deputy PM Vulin seeks end of anonymity on social networks
Serbian Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin has reacted to horrific threats against President Vucic by saying that doing away with anonymity on internet platforms would also get rid of "lunatics in the public space."
"Anonymity on social networks gives every madman the opportunity to spread their illness and hatred with impunity. Our services will find who is hiding behind the account that is 'hanging' President Aleksandar Vucic, but by abolishing anonymity on the networks, we would not only save the time and effort of (security) services - but crazy people would also be expressing their frustrations to psychiatrists, rather that sharing them online.
These lunatics are never so crazy as to sign (their name) under these abominations. Abolish anonymity on the networks and you will abolish the madmen in the public space," said Vulin, reacting to threats of "hanging President Vucic" that have appeared on social sites.
