First photos of Faton Hajrizi dead: Here's where Serbian police caught the Albanian
Faton Hajrizi, who was suspected of murdering policeman Nikola Krsmanovic, has been liquidated near Loznica.
The Albanian from Kosovo and Metohija was killed at 21 Drinska Street in Loznica because he resisted arrest.
A little earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia published a photo of the suspect, and one of the locals reported that he had seen a person matching the description near the former Viskoza gas station.
A large number of police officers then blocked the entire area and Drinska Street, and eventually shot and killed Hajrizi close to number 21.
Interior Minister Ivica Dacic is headed to the scene.
A week ago, Faton Hajrizi escaped from prison in Kosovo and Metohija, where he was serving his sentence for the murder of a Russian soldier, a member of the KFOR mission, and for other crimes.
This was the ninth time that Hajrizi had escaped from prison.
"I am Faton Hajrizi, who joined the KLA ('Kosovo Liberation Army') and went to war as a 14-year-old. I am Faton Hajrizi who was active in the north in 2006-2007. For the good of this country. It's not normal, they kept me in prison for 23 years, today I'm 40 years old" - the now dead Hajrizi can be heard complaining in a TikTok video.
