We asked Tatum about Serbia and Jokic: NBA champion described Nikola with two powerful words
Boston Celtics basketballer Jayson Tatum spoke to the press during a training session of the US national team, ahead of a tournament in Abu Dhabi.
In addition to numerous other topics, he talked about what it's like to play for the national team after such a long season.
"It takes time to get into the rhythm, a lot of us had different off seasons. You have to find a balance of being unselfish but still be yourself. The reason I wanted to join the team now is to figure out that balance," said Tatum.
He was asked how he felt about the fact that he was constantly coming off the bench, when playing for the national team.
"Yes, honestly every US team since I was a junior I always came off the bench. I was the second scorer in Tokyo, so it's not a problem if I start of if I come off the bench. You can impact the game," he added.
We asked him how he feels about Serbia in the (Olympic) group and what he thinks about that, as well as what he thinks about Jokic.
"It will be fun, no doubt. I'm gonna look forward to it, basketball has become more competitive," concluded Tatum, and when asked again about Jokic, he replied - "Great player."
