Steph Curry on biggest defeat against Serbia, talks about Jokic: "We beat them later, it will be tough..."
The best shooter of all time reminisced...
The US basketball team is in Abu Dhabi for a preparations tournament ahead of the Olympics, and Steph Curry spoke to the media and recalled some moments from 2007.
He spoke about the time when Serbia's U19 team became champions, playing against the US in the final in Novi Sad, and then he also spoke about Nikola Jokic.
"I played in the U19 team in 2007. We beat them in pool play and they beat us in the gold medal game. Then we beat them in 2014 in Spain during the World Championship there. A lot of history. Obviously, Jokic and what he's been able to do in his NBA career playing against him. Bogdanovic, I know...
So, a lot of familiarity. I don't necessarily know what it's gonna feel like to play against them here. It will be tough to beat, and it's just a matter of focusing on what we do and trying to do the best we can," said Curry.
In the Olympic Games group stage, the US has been drawn with Serbia, Puerto Rico and South Sudan.
