2-year-old Danka Ilic disappeared on March 26 in Banjsko Polje near Bor

Dejan Dragijevic, a suspect in the murder of 2-year-old Danka Ilic, told the prosecution today that "he did not see the child, did not hit her with a car, or strangle her" - Telegraf.rs has learned.

This caused a big shock at the prosecution because Dragijevic has now denied everything he had originally testified about.

In his first statement, Dragijevic admitted to everything - that he and his colleague hit the child with their company car, that he strangled her later, and threw the body away.

The suspect was brought from custody in a police van.

After his arrest, he admitted that he and the other suspect, Srdjan Jankovic, hit the girl with a car, put her in a car, strangled her, and then threw her body at a garbage dump.

Srdjan Jankovic recently denied murdering the girl at a repeated hearing, while immediately after his arrest he chose to remain silent.

In addition to Dejan Dragijevic and Srdjan Jankovic, Dejan Dragijevic's father is also a suspect in this case on suspicion that he helped his son move the girl's body.

Dejan Dragijevic and Srdjan Jankovic are in custody, while Radoslav D., father of suspect Dejan D., was recently released pending the outcome of the proceedings.

Dejan's brother, Dalibor Dragijevic, died on April 7 while in police custody in Bor, when he was held for questioning.

2-year-old Danka Ilic disappeared on March 26 in Banjsko Polje near Bor.

After a 10-day search and detailed checks of all clues and information, the police arrested Srdjan J. and Dejan D. from Bor, who are suspected of hitting the girl with a car, putting her in in the trunk, strangling her and dumping the body.

The body has not yet been found.
