Only 14 kilometers from the center of the municipality of Pozega, in the village of Roge, there are springs of mineral water whose properties are well known to all those who have traveled here, and there have been hundreds of them.

Despite this, this spa resort is now overgrown with weeds, and the water can be found in two improvised pools, without even clear signposts leading to the location.

The thermal water here has a constant temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. The Institute for Rehabilitation from Belgrade has done research and found that it has extremely specific physical and chemical characteristics.

It contains dissolved medicinal hydrogen gas and belongs to the category of oligomineral waters, which means that it is drinkable, with no adverse consequences. It has proven to be extremely effective in the treatment of joint, nerve, eyes diseases, as well as chronic rheumatism.

Until a few decades ago, Roska Banja was part of the Pozega recreation center, today, due to unresolved property and legal issues, it is effectively falling apart even though it has great potential as far as development of tourism in this area, reports RINA.

The local self-government previously said they were trying in every way to resolve these legal problems and that there was already a development plan for the spa, which includes a conceptual design of the baths as well as building a sports and recreational center.
