Terrible scenes after New Belgrade fire: Apartment windows cracked, flames engulfed everything
Several apartments were damaged in a fire that broke out this morning around 6 o'clock in the Prime Caffee in New Belgrade, on Marsala Tolbuhina Boulevard.
The cafe is located in a residential building, and the flames started to spread to apartments above it in record time. According to our reporter at the scene, the fire engulfed apartments up to the 3rd floor.
It is not known how much damage was done there, but from the outside it can be seen that the windows have cracked and that the balconies and the facade have been destroyed.
The residents, visibly upset, looked on in shock at dozens of firefighters were working to put out the fire and cool the gas cylinders that they pulled out of the cafe's premises to prevent a greater tragedy.
We have learned that fortunately, no one was injured in this fire, while the cause is still being investigated.
As an employee of a salon next to the coffee shop told Telegraf.rs, she opened the store this morning and suddenly smelled heavy smoke. When she came out to see what was happening, the fire had engulfed the cafe at record speed and was spreading to nearby vehicles and apartments.
Firefighters arrived very quickly. They were at the scene in less than 4 minutes, but the flames had already traveled up the building.
