In some cases, Djuric stressed, something much worse is happening, which is that the previously proclaimed priority of creating a democratic and multi-ethnic society in Kosovo and Metohija is being replaced by some other geopolitical goals

Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric has said that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is in a coma, and assessed that this is the case, among other things, because many countries are not using their authority and influence or are not interested in preventing the ethnically motivated and nationalist rampage of Prime Minister of Pristina's provisional institutions Albin Kruti.

Djuric told RTS that the fact that the dialogue is in a coma has nothing to do with the EU's special envoy, Miroslav Lajcak, but with "the fact that many countries that would have to use their authority and influence to prevent Kurti are not doing that."

In some cases, Djuric stressed, something much worse is happening, which is that the previously proclaimed priority of creating a democratic and multi-ethnic society in Kosovo and Metohija is being replaced by some other geopolitical goals.

According to him, it is therefore necessary to be aware of the seriousness of the situation.

"For us, a key priority is to support the survival of our people in Kosovo and Metohija. Our people should be patient, wise, know that it is now up to their persistence to stay and survive, and the state of Serbia will do its best to make sure thee is enough money and everything else," said Djuric.

According to him, preserving our state and national interests depends to a large extent on the Serbs persistence in stayingon their land in Kosovo and Metohija.

Those people, he stressed, are real heroes.

Speaking about the arrest of a Serb yesterday in Kosovo and Metohija, Djuric said it represented "throwing down the gauntlet to the US and the EU."

The Serb was arrested despite the written guarantees of the European Union and the United States, he explained.

Djuric added that he expects and hopes for a public and clear reaction from the EU and the US, because additional arrests represent "the gauntlet thrown to their face" and certainly do not contribute to stability on the ground.
