This is what a suspect in killing of little Danka looks like: He is expected to say where the child's body is

Srdjan Jankovic, a suspected of the murder of Danka Ilic (2) in Banjsko Polje, was brought to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zajecar, and the reason for questioning him again was the prosecutor needing clarification regarding, as stated, some of his previous illogical statements.

Jankovic was taken out of the police station with handcuffs on his hands and feet. He was wearing a black shirt, and entered the prosecutor's office with his head held down.

He has made statements three times so far.

He was arrested on April 4, and at the time admitted to the police that he was driving a company Fiat Panda and that he hit Danka Ilic with it. His statement agreed with the testimony of another suspect, Dejan Dragijevic, who added said that he strangled the child after she was hit with the car.

Two days later, after 48 hours in detention, Jankovic exercised his legal right to remain silent, while Dragijevic confessed to the crime also at the prosecutor's office.

However, at the beginning of this month, Srdjan himself, through his defense lawyer, demanded to be heard again, but he completely reversed the story.

The essence of his previous statement was that he denied everything, saying he never saw the girl, and therefore could not even hit her, as well as that Dejan did not strangle her, nor was the body thrown at a garbage dump.

The two are in custody, while Dejana Dragijevic's father, who is suspected of helping his son move the girl's body, was recently released, because persons suspected of assisting the perpetrator after the commission of the crime cannot be held for longer than two months.

Danka Ilic disappeared on March 26 in Banjsko Polje near the town of Bor.

After a 10-day search and detailed checks of all the clues and information, the police arrested S.J. and D.D. from Bor, who are suspected of hitting the girl with their company car, then putting her in the trunk, strangling her, and leaving the body at a garbage dump.

The girl's body has not yet been found.
