This Thursday, many media outlets around the world reported that the Serbian tennis player had a successful operation and that his recovery should take about three weeks, and this information has also been confirmed to Telegraf.

According to Italy's Gazzetta dello Sport, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic underwent knee surgery in Paris this morning. Later in the day, the president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia, Bozidar Maljkovic, claimed that did not happen.

"My son follows the French press every day, very serious French media reported that Novak Djokovic had an operation. We called (Novak's) uncle, and received information that he did not. I would not like to speculate," said Bozidar Maljkovic.

"In any case, kudos to Novak. To play such a match (his last in this year's French Open), in such a condition... We would all like him to be with us and lead the Olympic team. He is a wonderful man who makes other athletes better. He showed that in Tokyo," Maljkovic told reporters in Belgrade.
