Vucic: Pristina's moves and Srebrenica resolution do not contribute to region's stability
President Aleksandar Vucic stressed today, in a conversation with the Russian ambassador in Belgrade, Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko, that preserving stability in the region is of vital interest to Serbia and pointed out that Pristina's arbitrary moves, and initiatives such as the UN General Assembly draft resolution on Srebrenica in no way contribute to the process of reconciliation, building trust and cooperation in the region.
Vucic wrote on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav" that during the conversation, he repeated his gratitude to the Russian Federation for its firm position regarding the territorial integrity of Serbia, as well as for respecting our sovereignty in terms of conducting independent policies and the unique path that Serbia has chosen.
"That path is not easy, but we are counting on the full support of all sincere friends of Serbia," Vucic stressed.
He added that they also discussed the difficult period facing Serbia, the diplomatic struggle on several fronts and the serious challenges faced by the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in Serbia's surroundings.
Vucic added that he had exchanged opinions with Botsan-Kharchenko about the attempts to destabilize the region, as well as about Serbia's efforts to fight in the international arena to preserve not only its own state and national interests, but also respect for international law and the principles of a just global order.
