What a battle! Unfortunately, Serbia's Hamad Medjedovic was unable to in the end celebrate against the fourth-ranked tennis player in the world, Russia's Daniil Medvedev, who eventually won 7-6, 2-6, 7-5, after a lot of problems. The Serbian tennis player showed what he is made of!

In the mixed zone of the media center, we found Hamad sitting exhausted. He gave his all, fought for three hours against a star like Medvedev, and after we helped him get up from the floor, he shared his first impressions with Telegraf.

"A very good match, great experience! In the third set I could have, at 4-4 and 0-30 in the third I could have used that... I dropped off a little bit there, he is one of the best players in the world, of course he would use that. And so..."

You chose some solutions at certain moments that no one expected?

"Most of my drop shots were very good, well planned, there were some across the top of the net. I felt comfortable. I agree that I overdid it at times, he is a very unpleasant opponent and he is known for it. Sometimes you want to finish a point as soon as possible and you make a mistake."

How do you feel now, after this performance in Rome?

"I am satisfied with my tennis, I wanted to beat him. I believed until the very end. Good week, I'm glad to be healthy and that's what I'm happy about the most."

What will you remember this Masters for?

"Definitely for the last match on the central court against Daniil Medvedev, the fourth player in the world, if I'm not mistaken. The best experience and the most I have experienced so far in my career."

Serbia rooted for you wholeheartedly?

"I feel it and I know, I know how much it means to people, I feel support from Serbia. I will try to never disappoint them."

Your forehand is your strongest weapon, do you have a name for it?

"No honestly, but everyone is aware that I have a good forehand. And my opponent today, we saw how much he avoided it."

How much does what happened mean to you?

"It means a lot, (gives me) great confidence, I saw that I can deal with players like him. I need to correct some things before the French Open, I will see with the team how to correct what I have to."

Are you getting ready for the French Open now?

"Yes. I think I'm at a good level, I have to play continuously. If I keep this level from today, I think I can do well," concluded Medjedovic.
