Vucic welcomes Xi Jinping at the airport: Welcome to Serbia, you have greatly honored our country

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and his wife Tamara Vucic welcomed last night President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport.

Vucic told the Chinese President that with this visit, he is doing a great honor to the Serbian state and people, who sincerely love China and appreciate that country's friendship.

"Dear President Xi, respected friend, welcome to Serbia! With this visit, you have done a great honor to our country and people, who sincerely love China and value the friendship of your great country. The vision of the world that you stand for has given inspiration and strength to our small country that today bravely and proudly walks the path of progress and success," Vucic wrote on Instagram.

Vucic told Xi that Serbia wants to reciprocate, at least in small part, with sincere hospitality for all the support that the Chinese president selflessly provides to Serbia.

"Long live the steely friendship between Serbia and China, which was tempered in difficult times and which we will continue to guard through mutual respect, understanding and firm support," concluded Vucic.
