Minister Goran Vesic and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles General Manager Liu Changqing signed the Protocol on Understanding and Cooperation, which confirmed that nine new trains will arrive in Serbia.

Vesic stated that the trains should travel at a speed of 120 km/h.

"Those 9 electric engine vehicles should be ready by the end of 2026, to transport the 3.5 million people who will be here for the EXPO. What is very important is that this is a state-level project, which means that there are no costs for (the city of) Belgrade," said the minister.

This is important for the transportation to and from the Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport.

"When this is done, it will be possible to arrive at the Nikola Tesla airport directly from other cities," Vesic added.
