Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay an official visit to Serbia on Tuesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 8, and will be hosted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian president's press service announced today.

Xi's previous trip to Serbia was in 2016, and that was at the time the first visit by a Chinese president in 32 years.

Vucic met with Xi in October of last year in Beijing, during the third Belt and Road Forum, when the free trade agreement between Serbia and China was signed.

Announcing the upcoming visit of the Chinese president, Vucic said that Xi is one of the most important world leaders and our sincere friend who we look forward to welcoming in the best possible way.
