President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with ambassadors to Serbia from South American countries, with whom he discussed a proposed resolution, "International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of Srebrenica Genocide," and the consequences of its possible adoption for stability in the region, but also for the global order.

"I emphasized the importance of a prudent, objective and fair approach to this issue, which would bring the principles of international law back to global forums, help build sustainable peace and trust between nations," Vucic wrote on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav" after the meeting with the ambassadors.

The president added that they also discussed a new momentum in Serbia's relations with South American countries, the great untapped potential for strengthening economic and all other forms of cooperation, as well as strengthening of strategic partnerships in international forums.
